I agree with that quote that says, “the music that you hear is the soundtrack of your life”. True. Music is an essential part of my life and also from my photo sessions. And there is a special playlist that my models really liked. Actually, I used to share it as a gift on request. It contains really great songs (look at my Spotify playlist).
Music is part of my website because music successfully have been useful in build the right mood on each shooting. I use different kind music. It depends on the model, the kind of photos and the location. My selection includes music from different decades. I really love many kinds of music; Synthwave, Trance and (specially Psy), Lounge, Jazz, Blues, Alternative, Classical, Opera, Indie, Pop, Punk and Rock (even Metal, Gothic, and Dark Metal too).
Some years ago I meet the beautiful musician Anastasia playing handpan in the streets at the Staré Mesto. She was an angel playing a powerful balanced heavenly instrument. I love his Animara Project. Also I love German musician Kate Stone playing handpan. That soft sweet harmony goes fast down deep into the soul.
I’m able to love so different songs. I enjoy beautiful Ann Margret singing Moon River (1962) in the same way that I enjoy Idoru from Grimes (2020). I love many songs in between as many songs even before. I love the perfection on classical or opera masterpieces as the Allegretto from Beethoven Symphony No.7, the Winter on Vivaldi Four Seasons, the Pachelbel Canon In D Major or Trois Gymnopédies de Ann Queffélec. Puccini Turandot: Nessun Dorma and Rachmaninoff «Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini«.
Of course, definitely, I avoid inadmissible disgusting styles as; Salsa, Grupero, Cumbia and Reguetón. I really regret that today we are overwhelmed by that cheap trash called urban music. That kind of noises are evil torture. Truly sucks. Sorry, really, I can’t deal with it. Regueton singers should end on hell…
The Cure is my favorite band ever. I agree with Kyle from Southpark; Disintegration is the best album ever…
Depeche Mode it is my second band ever…
From my younger days I love Cocteau Twins, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Radiohead, Nirvana and Pulp. U2. Oasis. The Smiths (and obviously Morrisey). Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, NIN, Metallica and OMD and Pet Shop Boys.
From the older days I love Rolling Stones and The Doors.
From not so far years, I really love bands like Ting Tings, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (I love Karen O individual projects), Coldplay and Cigarettes After Sex. The Raveonettes, Sigur Rós and Sixth June.
I love Still Corners, Zola Jesus and Chelsea Wolfe. The Alpha Portal project from DJs Astrix and Ace Ventura. I like a lot Die Antwoord, Clairo, Hana, Second Still, Icona Pop, Wolf Alice, Phantogram, Tove Lo and Billie Eilish.
But the truth is that most of the time I only hear contemporary music. Grimes is a genius !!! Cannons are an awesome band. Beach House, The Midnight…
But the music that touches me in deep is Synthwave. I Love it truly in deep… Theres is nothing better as NINA, Chromatics and Electric Youth. Theres is no way to express how makes me feel. If there is some place as heaven, for me; it should looks like a cyberpunk place… illuminated neon lights, extremely tall buildings, rainy nights and synth wave music… dark clothes and ARCH fast bikes… and maybe some kind of JOI coming from Blade Runner 2049…
Elizabeth Fraser should be there to sing Untitled 4 with Sigur Rós…
The NINA Synthian album is a piece of synthwave art. Love it !!!
Yes, I love every vocal coming from NINA, Bronwyn Griffin and Ruth Radelet. They are truly angels among us ❤️.
When they walks, they doesn’t touch the ground.
When they sings; me neither…
